Dr. Schneider is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who specializes in mood disorders, including treatment-resistant depression. After attending Yale University as an undergraduate, he received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and then completed residency at the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Institute. During residency, he had the opportunity to receive advanced training in mood disorders at the world-renowned UCLA Mood Disorders clinic. It was there that he realized his passion and expertise at treating depression using different modalities including pharmacotherapy and interventional treatments such as TMS.
Along with sophisticated biomedical management, Dr. Schneider realizes the need for psychotherapy to fully integrate treatments into a comprehensive plan. He was Chief Resident of Psychotherapy Education at UCLA, and also pursued additional training at the Psychoanalytic Center of California where he received a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He is currently enrolled as a fellow at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, where he is pursuing education in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy as well.
